Mkomazi National Park

Mkomazi National Park shares a border with Tsavo National Park in Kenya, so game comes and goes between the parks. It is not yet, however, a 'game' destination as the animals there are just beginning to be habituated to humans and cars. Having said that, there are elephants, lesser kudu, leopard, giraffe, zebra, African wild cats, Cape buffalo, and more. Mkomazi is an extraordinary place for birders, as there are many species endemic to the area. Early morning at Babu's Camp is a lovely experiences-sipping tea on your verandah, a symphony of birdsong and pink-gold light on the surrounding mountains. Visitors to Babu's Camp can enjoy hikes around the Reserve, sundowners overlooking Ibaya and picnic meals in the bush.
